Gabriel´s Christmas in Spain– Las Navidades de Gabriel en España

Gabriel and I are spending some time with our family here in Spain. We are having a great time. On Thursday, our cousins from Gerona came to visit. Gabriel has two cute cousins, Estel and Judith. Brenda was also with us, so the four of them had a great time. You can see them enjoying a “Singing bear Show” and also happy at home with their presents.

On Friday we went with Yaya and Bu to visit some “Belenes”. Belenes are very typical of Spain in this time. They are authentic pieces of art. Numerous artist recreate miniature villages with the history of Jesus, his conception, birth of Jesus and adoration of the Magic Kings, Maria and Joseph’s escape to Egypt, etc. You can admire some of the best scenes. One of the “Belenes” has day and night… it is beautiful to see how the lights appear, people put the fires and the stars come out.

I am using a new digital camera that Steve gave me for Santa… I love it!

Gabriel y yo estamos pasando unos días con la familia en España. Nos lo estamos pasando muy bien. El jueves, nuestras primas de Gerona nos visitaron. Gabriel tiene dos primas muy guapas, Estel y Judith. Brenda también estaba con nosotros y los cuatro se lo pasaron en grande. Les podéis ver disfrutando de un show de “Osos cantores” y también felices en casa con sus regalos.

El viernes fuimos con Bu y Yaya a ver “Belenes”. Los Belenes son algo muy típico de España en esta época. Son autenticas piezas de arte. Numerosos artistas recrean ciudades en miniatura con la historia de Jesús, su concepción, el nacimiento y la adoración de los Reyes Magos, la huida de María y José a Egipto, etc. Podéis admirar algunas de las mejores escenas. Unos de los “Belenes” tiene dia y noche… es precioso ver como aparecen las luces, la gente prende fuegos y las estrellas aparecen.

Estoy usando estos días una nueva cámara digital que me ha regalado Steve para Santa. Me encanta!
