CHURROS & PORRAS

Churros and porras are my favorite breakfast... and I enjoy them a lot while in Spain... simple dough... poured in very hot oil... made to perfection by Angel, in his "churreria".
Churros y porras con mi desayuno favorito.... y los disfruto mucho cuando estoy en España... una masa sencilla... vertida sobre un aceite muy caliente... hechos a la perfeccion por Angel en su churreria.

Making porras, he pours a big spiral... until it is crispy and golden.

Haciendo porras, vierte una gran espiral... hasta que esta crujiente y dorada.

Making the churros, it is like small laces...pour and cut, pour and cut...

Haciendo los churros, son como pequeños lazos...vertir y cortar, vertir y cortar...

Porras just came out (you can see the big spiral)... churros were just made (you see they are like laces)...

Las Porras saliendo (veis la gran espiral)... los churros se acababan de hacer (son como pequeños lazos)...

Many days my dad came with me for breakfast. Earlier, he went also with my mom.. he is the smarter... two times breakfast!
Muchos dias me acompañaba mi padre a desayunar. Antes habia acompañado a mi madre... es el mas listo.. dos veces desayuno!

And this was my breakfast many days while in Spain... also the coffee is special... sooooo good!

Y este era mi desayuno muchos dias en España... hasta el cafe es especial... taaaan ricooooo!

Great grandparents / Bisabuelos

During Christmas Alejandra met her great grandparents... she had lots of fun with them.

On the 21st my brother and grandmother celebrated their birthday... with Tiramisu. To unify the number in the cake, we used the day... 21st.... one was 32 the other one 88.
El dia 21 mi hermano y abuela celebraron su cumpleaños.... con un Tiramisu. Para unificar el numero de la tarta, usamos el dia.... 21... uno cumplia 32 y el otro 88.

Torrijas... fried bread in a wine sauce... a typical Easter dessert that my grandmother made for me... as I am not here in Easter.
Torrijas... pan frito en una salsa de vino... algo tipico de Semana Santa que mi abuela hizo para mi como yo no suelo estar aqui en Semana Santa.

My grandma Fermina best dish... Meatballs and Lamb. She has cooked this for us during many years... and when she asks me what I want if I visit her, I always say the same... "If you do not mind... Meatballs and Lamb"...... DELICIOUS!

Mi abuela Fermina tiene una especialidad... "albondigas con cordero". Ha cocinado esto para nosotros durante muchos años.. y siempre que me pregunta que quiero cuando la visito... digo lo mismo... "albondigas con cordero"... DELICIOSAS!
