Coco

It was the summer of 2003 and I moved to USA. Happy and excited about my new life… and also sad for the people that I will not see often.

However, I got the best present of all… my little boxer puppy, named Coco, a gorgeous little girl that since then has been my best friend.

How can I describe to you how important Coco is for me?

Coco is the greatest dog. She is loyal; she is friendly, smart, funny, she talks a lot and complains also a lot… like me! She always comes if I am sad and tells me to feel better… she shows me love and friendship in every move, every day.

Some people have big ideas about what they want in life… I was happy with my husband, my son, my family and my dog. I do not mind about diamond rings in my fingers… I have the best diamond at home, Steve, Gabe and Coco. Coco is my true jewel.

For 5 years, I got excited coming back home and seeing her at the other side of the door… I never made long daily trips because I did not want her to be alone… my favorite thing is to pick her up early after work and bring her with me to pick up Gabriel in school. Simple but oh how much I like it!

We are like two old ladies! We chat in the car, I tell her about my day, she listens… she loves me… it is the best. While driving, I love looking to the right and seeing her there… it gives me peace and a wonderful security feeling… I am with my dog!

The first time that Steve traveled after we got her there was a big storm… she came to bed so scared….. BUT so was I! We both stayed close to each other looking at the lighting illuminating the room…. I was so happy she was there! She made me feel much better.

Today Coco is in my sofa. She is fitting a disease and hopefully she will be better soon. It is hard to see her ill, as it is hard to see a friend suffering.

When she came to live with us, I promised her to ALWAYS take care of her and never give up on her… I WILL KEEP MY PROMISE. Today I am here for her, and our love will make that this will be only a bad experience in our long life together.

I thank life for friends as Coco. They make my life so full of happiness… it is very nice to feel that way.

First day of school / Primer dia de cole

Last night Gabriel and I prepared his new back pack. This year he chose a very colorful Spiderman backpack, he loves it and here he is showing it with pride.

This morning he woke up easily…. Is it going to be like that every day???? Keep tuned!

La pasada noche Gabriel y yo preparamos su nueva mochila. Este año ha elegido una muy colorista mochila de Spiderman, le encanta y aqui esta mostrandola con orgullo.
